Is there a way to add a column to an estimate showing the date of an Assembly or Item? That way I could see if one of my line items was outdated without opening the Assembly or Item. I couldn't see that option in the Add Column choices.
Not that much inflation now, but some products are changing quickly.
Thanks, Jim

Jim-
You may already know this, but you can customize your material list report for any estimate so it shows the date that the material items price was last updated.

Mine is set up this way, export it to Excel, sort by date, delete anything that was updated in the last 2-3 months, email it to our lumber yard for pricing.

Thanks Jud. I was looking for a way to see the date in my Estimate line items, maybe someone else will chime in? Busy?

It was too late to put this into the 4.7 update, but starting with the next update (4.8) you can add a column to the breakdown tables for Assemblies and Estimates, showing when each item had its price updated. For assemblies, it will use the date of the component with the earliest update date.

It will probably be optional.

That will be helpful, thank you. In my case, I'd prefer it use the date of the Assembly itself, as I often alter those dates to reflect, let's say, an updated material price even if the labor rate hasn't changed in several months. If I get the earlier labor rate date in the new column it won't be as helpful.
