We decided to switch from the free phpbb software to vBulletin (which came highly recommended by the folks who run JLC Online). We ordered it at 9 AM and it was installed and ready by 6 PM!
It has a lot of features, and it will probably take us a few weeks or months to ease into them.
Because of the large numbers of spammers who have already discovered this board, new users will need to get our permission before joining. We will loosen that restriction once we figure out how to block the leeches who just want to post commercial messages for the scam of the month.
